This policy explains what information Play Backgammon Online (online-play-backgammon.com) collects when you use the site, and what choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
Who we are
The site is run by Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd. You can contact us at support@online-play-backgammon.com.
No accounts
You don't need an account to play, and we don't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
What stays on your device
The game uses your browser's local storage to remember your board design, computer level, sound and other settings, and your won and lost record. This information stays on your device. We can't see it, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used, such as how many people visit and which pages they read:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.
- Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, these cookies are only used once you agree to them in the consent banner.
We use this data only in summary form to improve the site. We don't use it to identify you.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads are only shown if you agree to them in the consent banner. You can turn off personalised ads at any time in Google's ad settings, and read more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages, but it isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it's used. Because we don't hold accounts, most requests are best handled by clearing your browser data and cookies, or by using the consent banner and Google's ad settings.
